For 4 burgers:

  • 4 pcs ManaBurger™
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 red onions
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 4 slices vegan cheddar
  • 4 buns
  • 1 handful leafy greens (e.g. romaine lettuce, spinach, arugula)
  • 2 sprigs dill (as a garnish)

  • 1 mango
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 4 tablespoons coarse mustard
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup (cane sugar)
  • 5 sprigs dill
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1First, prepare the dill sauce: Put both types of mustard, the vinegar, the agave syrup, and the dill into a blender and blend briefly. Slowly pour in the olive oil and continue blending until the ingredients come together. Then add salt and pepper to taste and store in the fridge.

2Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the sliced red onion. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring from time to time. When the onions become golden and caramelized, add in the cane sugar and balsamic vinegar, then add salt and pepper. Simmer for another 5 minutes to let the juices thicken.

3Blend half of the peeled mango with salt, pepper, and lime juice. Then cut the other half of the mango into small cubes and mix those in with the puree.

4Put the defrosted ManaBurgers on a hot pan or grill, or in a heated oven, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. Put the cheese slices on the patties and cover for a few minutes to let them melt. Lightly toast the buns and spread the mustard-dill sauce on the bottom halves. Then add the greens and put the burger patties with cheese on top. Add the onions and mango dressing. Close it all with the top of the bun and enjoy!
